Titas Stremavicius and the Caro-Kann experience after breakfast
Titas Stremavicius achieved a remarkable victory over Vincent Keymer at the 2024 Chess Olympiad in Budapest (see the video below), leading the Lithuanian team to a stunning win against Germany. But this is only one of many successes and wins under his belt. Born on February 15, 1998, in Kaunas, Lithuania, Stremavicius achieved the title of International Master (IM) in 2015 and was awarded the Grandmaster (GM) title in 2020.
Stremavicius has represented Lithuania in numerous youth and junior championships, with notable success including a third-place finish at the European Youth Chess Championship in 2015 in the U18 category. He also won the Lithuanian Chess Championship in 2021. His significant tournament victories include winning the Lichtenrader Herbst in 2015 and the Saint-Quentin Open in 2019. Now he has come to win the 27th edition of the OIBM. Here is his beautiful 3rd-round win that also won him the round’s beauty price, annotated by the man himself.
